- Contrast (Size contrast, shape contrast, texture/color contrast)
The most common example of all, this is pretty much where it all starts. If two colors are different to each other (say, black and white) they have high contrast, whereas if they are very similar (red and orange) then they have low contrast.
The next most common form of contrast is using size. Something big beside something small generally indicates that the bigger item is far more important. That’s right, we’re saying that size matters!
Shape contrast means making things notable in by their difference in physical shape compared to other things on the page. At its most basic level this can be used in things like adding rounded corners to buttons, but taken to more extreme levels it can attract a lot more attention.
- Balance (informal balance, and formal balance)
an area that first attracts attention in a composition. This area is more important when compared to the other objects or elements in a composition. This can be by contrast of values, more colors, and placement in the format.
- Proportion
refers to the relative size and scale of the various elements in a design. The issue is the relationship between objects, or parts, of a whole.
- Perspective
Perspective (from Latin: perspicere to see through) in the graphic arts is an approximate representation, on a flat surface (such as paper), of an image as it is seen by the eye. The two most characteristic features of perspective are that objects are smaller as their distance from the observer increases; that they are foreshortened, ie that the size of an object's dimensions along the line of sight are relatively shorter than dimensions across the line of sight.

PART 2A - Developing Graphic Communications Sensibilities
A calligram is a Poem, phrase, or word in which the typeface, calligraphy or handwriting is arranged in a way that creates a visual image. The image created by the words expresses visually what the word, or words, say. In a poem, it manifests visually the theme presented by the text of the poem.
A pictogram, also called a pictogramme, pictograph, or simply picto, and also an icon, is an ideogram that conveys its meaning through its pictorial resemblance to a physical object. Pictographs are often used in writing and graphic systems in which the characters are to a considerable extent pictorial in appearance.

A rebus is an allusional device that uses pictures to represent words or parts of words. It was a favourite form of heraldic expression used in the Middle Ages to denote surnames.
For example, in its basic form, three salmon (fish) are used to denote the name "Salmon". A more sophisticated example was the rebus of Bishop Walter Lyhart (d.1472) of Norwich, consisting of a stag (or hart) lying down in a conventional representation of water.
The composition alludes to the name, profession or personal characteristics of the bearer, and speaks to the beholder Non verbis, sed rebus, which Latin expression signifies "not by words but by things" (res, rei (f), a thing, object, matter; rebus being ablative plural).

The Big Update
Behold, for I am back!, with more stuff! These first 3 pics are from my most recently completed project: my Minecraft character, The#1EnderLord. The first pic features his "uniquely colored" crown, which contains, in the middle, his Blessed Ender Crystal. As for the 4th pic, this was a relatively simple side project called "Mammoths in the Snow". It may not look like it mainly because I don't know how to make snow yet, nor do I know how to change the lighting of the sun to fit the scene.

The Cyborg
IM BACK!
I have been working on quite a few projects, and this is one of those finished projects: The Cyborg.
He's pretty much a killing machine armed with a variety of weapons. His power core in the second pic is where he can get his energy. If low on energy, he can refill it up to two times. The energy is highly radioactive. His weapon of choice is the arm cannon, which works like Samus's Arm Cannon, except it can work like any gun in the real world, though the more powerful it is, the more energy he drains. His left arm can break almost anything! That's OP. His right arm can change type, as shown in the 5th pic, from a sword, to a regular, claw-like hand that also works like a grapple claw. I wonder how'd the good guys (Armored Soldier and Stickguy) would fare against him?

Progress report
These are more of my pics. The first one has a slightly glowing "Moon"
In the first 2 pics, you can see my newly created character, The Armored Soldier! I also added a weapon to both him and my "Stickman". My "Stickman" now has a cape!
in the third pic, these are their weapons. The Double-edged axe is the Armored Soldiers, and the Rapier is the "Stickman's" weapon.
